Cold Canadians have had their prayers answered. Just in time for the long cold winter ahead, WestJet has announced some new routes to Hawaii. It’s pretty much seasonal service for the snow season, but at least it’s a new option to escape to paradise when you need it most.

For those sick of shoveling snow in Calgary there will be non-stop routes to both Honolulu and Maui. Starting in March there will be an escape route flying once a week. The introductory rates will start at $329 CAD each way not including taxes, fees, and anything else they want to throw at you. If Maui is more of your style, getting there will set you back about $40 CAD more each way.

Fear not, citizens of Edmonton, the airline has you guys covered as well. Again, it will be a seasonal thing between the beginning of March and the end of April, but it will whisk people away to Maui without a stop anywhere in between. Rates here are the same, starting at $369 CAD, and again, it’s without taxes or any other fees.

You are free to start booking your vacation now, so you can head right over to their website. The once a week flights are on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—depending on where you’re headed. No weird Wednesday-only flights here, so you can really minimize wasting precious vacation days. If these new flights are a success make sure you save your pennies, as the routes will likely be back for next winter as well.
