The Houston Survivor Challenge consisted of civilian fans competing against the reality stars in a two-day-long Survivor simulation event. Tribes were formed, councils were conducted, and ultimately the winner was actually a fan named Steve Pickett. The reality stars partied in Houston nightclubs all weekend; posing for pictures at clubs like Eight, Club Mercer, and Foundation Room at House of Blues. Sponsorship monies raised from the event benefit the U’jana Conley Foundation for SIDS and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
Other reality stars competing in the friendly and unofficial competition were Eric Sanchez (Winner Of Amazing Race All Stars), Eliza Orlins (Survivor: Micronesia and Fans vs. Faves), Jodi Wincheski (Amazing Race Season 14), Victor Jih (Winner of Amazing Race Season 14), Bob Crowley (Winner of Survivor: Gabon), Cristina Coria (Survivor: Cook Islands), Earl Cole (Winner of Survivor: Fiji), Ray Hosteau (Amazing Race Season 7), and of course ourselves!
