2009 Halloween Theme Park Scare Guide: Halloween Horror Nights

At this year’s event you will be trapped by “SAW’s” maniacal serial killer Jigsaw, come face-to-fangs with “The Wolfman” and be chased by the twisted “Chucky” doll.    

And that’s just the beginning: All eight haunted houses, six scarezones and two live shows are inspired by blockbuster horror films. Until now, you’ve only been able to watch the action in horror films like “SAW,” “The Wolfman,” and “Chucky.” But at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, these films and more have been transformed into live experiences that put you in the middle of your worst cinematic nightmares.   

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal (both Orlando and Hollywood) is easily one of the scariest theme park Halloween events going. Started in 1991 at Universal Studios Florida, the event now boasts all that we listed above on top of their usual restaurants and activities given a Halloween theme. Oh and all the attractions are meticulously created with the producers of some of the freakiest horror movies ever. The 2009 iteration of this event will attempt to put you in the middle of your worst cinematic nightmares.

Though John C. Riley is all smiles in this ghoul shot, we can guarantee you Reed Rothchild was scared as hell after Universal finished running him through this year's horror gauntlet.
