Tweet Of The Week: Unadulterated Travel Excitement
We love Tuesdays. Why, you ask? Because the day brings many travel tips and quips as "Travel Tuesday" on Twitter, and we're going to share our favorite with you. Got an avid travel twitterer we should follow? Let us know.
Yesterday was perhaps a record for the #traveltuesday hashtag on Twitter, as the announcement of the Southwest $25 sale spread and folks mentally escaped their jobs by discussing travel tips and favorite destinations.
Nonetheless, there was one travel tweet that stood out from the rest, and not because it was rendered in all caps. Instead, we were taken with @MistiEyes' earnest excitement in her tweet:
OUR DECEMBER ALL-INCLUSIVE CURACAO HONEYMOON IS PAID IN FULL BABY! LOOK OUT WORLD! WE GOTS PASSPORTS AND SHIT! :))))))
Ignore the all caps and the emoticons for one second, and you've got someone expressing their pure desire to get traveling, in addition to pride in holding a passport. It's refreshing—in and amongst all the links and back-patting that goes on during #traveltuesday—to come across a simple statement that sums up the reason for the day. Also, we guess that people are still taking all-inclusive honeymoons in the Caribbean; wonder if it's at a Sandals Resort...
