What Anthony Bourdain Thinks About In-Flight WiFi

October 26, 2009 at 10:19 AM | by JetSetCD | 1 Comment

There are some big travel issues a-brewing out there, and we're keen to find out what some big travel personalities think about them. So we caught up with Anthony Bourdain, chef and author and host of The Travel Channel's popular food travel show No Reservations to get the straight dope on how, or how not, In-Flight WiFi has affected his travel routine.

In our video above, where we captured Anthony at a Travel Channel party celebrating the launch of the new traveler-centric Chase Sapphire card, we discover that Bourdain is definitely familiar with the trend. And he should be, since right now airlines are investing millions of dollars to retrofit jets for WiFi connectivity. We'd hate to hear that a super world traveler such as Bourdain hasn't come across it yet.

And yet did you hear that, airlines? Bourdain admits that in-flight wifi is a big positive for him: "that could change my routine, if I was connected."

And of course we closed with a similarly hard-hitting question for Bourdain not shown in the video—what is his in-flight cocktail of choice? The answer was simple and we should have known: whiskey.

    I knew it!

I had a feeling he would say sleep and cocktails. He's a man after my own heart. :)
