V Australia Can't Wait To Get You Down Under With An Aussie Rock Band

The always spunky Richard Branson and his Virgin team are no slouches at putting together clever promotions, and this time his Aussie long-haul airline V Australia has got a smart one going called Jet with JET.

One jet, of course, is the plane that V Australia is going to fly you in from Los Angeles to Sydney. The all-capitals JET is the great Aussie rock band that will be on the plane with you, and then will perform at the Homebake Music Festival once they back to Oz.

For $1,099 you can get return flights, four nights' accommodation, Homebake tickets and a Jet with JET T-shirt, and the opportunity to meet the band as well. JET are touring Down Under to launch their new album Shaka Rock, and Virgin has got a competition running to win this package to celebrate it—but for that price we reckon just buying the tickets is a better option. If you've got time to extend your trip, V Australia will add on eight nights in Melbourne and the Gold Coast with the total going up to just $1,549. What hasn't been explained however is if JET will be performing in-flight, otherwise what's the point of being on the same flight as them?
