Last night, while the country watched a new episode of 30 Rock, we took the elevator to the actual Top of the Rock for a party to celebrate the launch of the new Chase Sapphire, a traveler-centric rewards card. Chase has partnered up with The Travel Channel to promote the card, and as a result, the party was co-hosted by none other than Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern.

Munching through multiple chocolate and praline-covered bacon strips with a sunset view of the city below, we managed to tackle both Bourdain and Zimmern to chat about some current travel trends. For their answers to one of the biggest airline questions right now, you'll have to wait for the full video reveal on Monday, but for now we'll share what they name as their favorite vacation spot...

Working from around the world on their televisions shows, No Reservations for Bourdain and Bizarre World, formerly also Bizarre Eats for Zimmern, these men are true power travelers. We asked them about their vacation habits, as in where do they travel when it's not about working or showcasing a destination on the Travel Channel?

Andrew Zimmern's choice vacation spot took us by surprise:

I'm a dad, so we do Disney World. We're complete Disney World geeks; we love going there. My son is almost five and he's had his fourth trip there; we're going twice this fall/winter. We also like beach vacations; we like to rent houses in Mexico or the Virgin Islands. Rent a house for two weeks and do nothing but sit on the beach. Swim, sun, eat dinner.

We made sure to clarify that he's talking about Disney World and not Disney Land, and he assured us that they "like the Florida one; more stuff to do."

Likewise, Anthony Bourdain is very specific about his ideal vacation spot and the amenities it must have:

I want to stay in one place. It would be in coastal Vietnam...Bali...Sardinia. I'm very familiar with those places and I have friends there. Also I'd need to be close enough to a hospital—it's the dad thing. I'm a doting father and I'm a little more high-maintenance on vacation now. I spend a lot of my time living rough on the show so when I'm staying in one place for a couple of weeks with my family, yea I kinda want room service—the availability of room service and a beach chair.

Hear that, avid watchers of the Travel Channel? Famous travel show faces are just like you; they just want family time, room service, and as little decision making as possible.

Anthony Bourdain

Anthony Bourdain is definitely the hottest man alive, or close anyway. I'd watch him and enjoy it if all he was doin was pickin chit with the chickens lol. But I do love both the gentlemens shows. Good guys :) P.S. I bet Anthony smells soooo good lol!
