When January comes around with its hella freezing weather, you'll be dreaming of sunny beaches; shoot, we're doing that now. To prevent seasonal affective disorder, you'll need a dose of Costa del Sol, or "Coast of the Sun." According to Travelzoo, the beachfront locale has more than 300 days of sunshine each year. The company's offering a package to the Spanish coastal region along the Mediterranean for $499, which includes a five-night vacay with airfare, but you have to book by Oct. 28.

The deal includes round-trip airfare from NYC to Malaga, Spain. You'll also spend five nights at either Sol Principe or Cervantes, both of which are four-star hotels. If you opt for Cervantes, you'll get free breakfast daily. And if you're the type to tire from frolicking on the beach all day—crazy talk, we know—you can add day tours to Cordoba, Granada or Tangier to the package for an additional $71 to $91.

Bookings are available Jan. 12, 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23; and March 2. To snag this package, call Gate 1 at 800-682-3333 and request the seven-day, five-night Costa del Sol vacation and be sure to mention the promo code TZSC100 to get the special $499 price. Or book it online, but be aware that you'll have to choose from the $599 dates; you'll be instructed to enter the TZSC100 code later to deduct 100 smackers.

re: Escape Cold Temps On Spain's Costa del Sol For

Washed by the Mediterranean Sea, the Costa del Sol extends along more than 150 kilometers of coastline in the province of Malaga, in the southern Iberian Peninsula. Its name, the "Coast of the Sun", is not due to mere chance: with over 325 sunny days a year and a benevolent climate, this is a paradisiacal place with beaches to suit all tastes. Each beach has its own charms. Some are livelier, others are quieter and more solitary; some are absolutely untouched and others have the most modern services. You will surely find your own personal paradise on the Costa del Sol. A large percentage of the total accommodation available in Andalusia is concentrated on the western Costa del Sol. There are many tourist services of all types, including berths for sporting boats at 13 marinas and yacht clubs, as well as golf courses, all types of sports facilities, casinos and a myriad of leisure and entertainment options. With that amount of money, you will not need any short term loans just to visit there, besides you will really have some good time.
