Relive one of the favorite books from your childhood at the Morgan Library with author Sendak's original drawings or catch screening of some of director Spike Jonze's other films at the Museum of Modern Art. Moving on from MoMA, how about heading to Madrid's celebration of contemporary art, the Optica Festival? Focusing on image and sound, galleries around the city stress experiencing artwork rather than just looking at art and chugging a cocktail. There's even more art for you to digest this weekend, but things in BA gets more specific during Expotrastiendas, an art fair which highlights only Argentine contemporary work. If you're looking to see the oeuvre of or purchase something from a particular artist from the country, then this is the place to be.
