Vince Vaughn stayed in one of the resort's posh "Royal Over-water Pool Villas.” Vaughn's 3,455-square-foot unit featured two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two walk-in closets, a living room, a private terrace with two gazebos, two outdoor showers, and it's own private pool suspended out over the lagoon. It even had a stairway that leads into the lagoon for snorkeling or, in Vince's case, jet-skiing.
The St. Regis Bora Bora spans three islands and offers 91 villas. For those who have to slum it in a suite that doesn't have a private pool, there are two swimming pools and three private beaches where the resort's staff will spritz you with water and keep the tropical drinks coming.
For dinner, the hotel's signature restaurant, Lagoonwhich is also suspended over the water and features breathtaking views of Mount Otemanuserves up signature dishes by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten every night. Entrees run between $50-$60 a dish.
If this all seems like it would be outside your budget, it probably is. The room Vince Vaughn stayed in starts at $5,500 a night but the resort is offering a slightly more realistic "Couples Retreat" package through March 31st. The special includes accommodations in one of those over-water bungalows, daily breakfast, a couples massage, dinner for two and a bottle of champagne for a mere is $1,175 per night, with a four-night minimum stay. Break out the black AMEX card for this one.
