Mabuhay!
This week, we open on Desmond and Penny aboard their boat in the Philippines. Made up of 7,107 islands, it's the perfect place for them to lay low and keep away from Penny's dad, Charles Widmore. It's also a terrific place to explore by boat. If you're looking to stay off your evil father-in-law's radar, definitely check out Sailing in Paradise in Puerto Galera.
Also, Penny is goes into labor aboard the yacht, and delivers their son, named Charlie. While we don't advocate international travel in the third trimester, if you need a doctor in the Phillipines, you can find one here, instead of at a dockside poker game.
Desmond knows he has to go to Oxford to find Daniel Faraday's mother. The only problem is, Penny doesn't want to be anywhere near the UK, and her father. She relents, and Desmond goes off to Oxford. It's the oldest university in the western hemisphere, and the perfect location for brainy Faraday's physics lab.

Back on the island, Locke, Sawyer and Juliet have turned the tables on two of the militia from last week's episode. They speak to each other in Latin, tipping off Juliet that they are, or were, Others at one time. Miles, Faraday, Charlotte and two disposable Losties are ambushed by tripwire explosive devices, and the never before seen extras make a dramatic exit. If you've always wanted to be an extra, check out Lost Casting Information.
Locke tracks one of the Others to their base camp in a remote clearing because he wants to speak with Richard. The camp is made up of standard issue military tents and outbuildings.
There's also an unexploded Hydrogen bomb that needs disarming - left over from the US military testing in the South Pacific. We find out that we're in 1954 – years before Locke was born. But before Locke can get an answer from Richard Alpert, the sky flashes and everybody is transported in time, again.
When the dust settles, the camp is gone, leaving only Locke, Sawyer, Faraday, Miles and Charlotte to try to figure out when and where they are in time.
In Oxford, Desmond has located Daniel Faraday's abandoned physics lab. He gets a tip from a creepy handyman, and seeks out a woman who used to work with Faraday. When he finds her in Oxford, she's in some sort of comatose condition with round the clock medical care – bankrolled by none other than Charles Widmore.
It also turns out Widmore is Faraday's benefactor. Desmond storms into Widmore's office demanding the contact info for Faraday's mother, and finds that she's in LA. Meanwhile, Penny's taken the now three year old Charlie to go fishing in the Thames. Let's hope he doesn't catch one of those freaky Snakeheads!
Back on the island, Charlotte's nose begins to bleed profusely. She collapses and goes limp in Faraday's arms. Is she dead? Is she Faraday's love...or his mom?!? Check back next week for a handful of answers and even more questions.
