Virgin Atlantic and Others Serving Moldy Food

January 29, 2009 at 8:50 AM | by juliana | 0 Comments

This open letter to Richard Branson about moldy custard (at least, we think it's custard) on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Mumbai to Heathrow last month brought up a dreadful memory from our own minds--moldy grapes on a flight from Paris to Dallas on American Airlines.

See evidence of moldy grapes above. We actually did not notice our withering fruit until well after the flight attendant had left us. But we wonder, did she even notice? And if she did, why would she serve them to us?

Now, we know we're not the only ones who have experienced expired food on a flight. So have if you've ever been served moldy food on a flight, how did you deal? Did you throw it back in their faces or did you pen an open letter to the airline's CEO? Let us know what you did in comments below.
