Here's where it gets even weirder: the building lives up to its "transformer" name by having the ability to fully shift based on event type. The Korea Times has the full details:
The pavilion ... is composed of four different shapes, a hexagon, cross, rectangle and circle. Once a month, cranes will lift and rotate the structure into a different facade and floor plate configuration. When rotated, each side will be the venue of a different cultural program. On the outside, the entire structure will be wrapped with an elastic translucent membrane. For the entrance, the membrane is cut and can be opened or closed with zippers.
Freaky! All that membrane and shifty-shape talk makes up think less Prada and more like a cross between a Rubik's Cube and The Matrix. Although there's no word yet on reservations or ticket prices, we expect this to be constantly packed with curious tourists from around Asia, since it will serve as a mecca for those with a taste for luxury and contemporary architecture and design.
