Five Air Fare Sales for a Weekend of Love

Valentine's Day can be such a stressful time for those without lovers, those who just started having lovers and those who have had lovers for longer than they initially planned. There's always so much pressure to do something for V-day and despite the economy woes, some crazy lovers are still demanding you top last year's efforts. Which is how you inexplicably get sucked into going on vacation with crazy and demanding lover.

Maybe it's because your marriage is failing or maybe it's just because new destinations turn you on. Whatever the reason may be for your getting out of town, there's no need for you to break the bank getting there. Below, we've rounded up Five Air Fare Sales for a Weekend of Love.

·1. Frisky in Frankfurt: Jen Leo at the LAT Daily Deals and Travel Blog spotted this cheap flight on Airfare Watchdog from LAX to Frankfurt on US Airways for only $339. The price has jumped up a bit to $428 but it's still valid over the dates of Feb. 11-18. We were just in Germany in October but with a price this low from our home base, we're so tempted to go.

Restrictions: Coach class with a stop at CLT in Charlotte.

· 2. Sleepless in Seattle: Southwest is offering 50 percent off all flights to Seattle. We found one-way flights from Denver to Seattle for only $65 over Valentine's Day Weekend (Feb. 12-15) and yes, those are for nonstop flights. However, the sale ends tomorrow at 11:59pm PST.

Restrictions: Not many aside from purchase dates, although prices do jump up a bit depending on time. Also, flights out of LA-area airports don't have nonstops.

· 3. $2 Make You Holla': Today is the last day for Spirit's $2 airfare sale. It's mostly for shorter distances like Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando or Boston to AC. However, a Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau, Bahamas is open for some island loving. That is available on: February 17, 20, 22 through 24, and 27. Travel from Nassau to Ft. Lauderdale is valid on February 15, 23, 24, and 26 through 28.

Restrictions: Today is the last day to book and you must be a member of Spirit's Static Fare Club. Also, did you see all those crazy dates that those flights are only available on?

· 4. Love for Less in London: British Airways announced reduced fares to London from a whole bunch of U.S. airports like Newark and JFK ($156), DC ($179), Chicago ($188) and San Francisco ($203). The deal also throws in two free nights at London hotels. The hotel selections are so-so. Hopefully, you and your lover will get creative with sleeping arrangements.

Restrictions: Must book by January 29, 2009. Travel is good from January 27 - March 22, 2009. Prices go up for the March 23 - May 24, 2009 travel period.

5. Crazy in Cabo or the Caribbean: American Airlines just put out some new sale fares for warmer destination on SmarterTravel like DC to Cabo for $268 or Miami to Jamaica from $120. Just don't get married to your crazy lover while you're there.

Restrictions: Must book by January 26th at 11:59pm CT. Also a two-day minimum stay is required and specific blackout dates vary by route.
