Coming in at second by a razor-thin margin of 29 votes was a blog I actually had heard of, the tenacious online airline watchdog known as The Cranky Flier. And the bronze medal went to Intelligent Travel, the slick-looking travel blog of National Geographic Traveler. Isn't it odd that the blog associated with a major name in travel and scholarship came in third to two upstarts? I guess that's the wild, woolly world of the internet for you. No respect for the legacy brands.
As for Jaunted, we placed ... well, let's just say we helped make the winner possible. So we offer kudos to all the travel bloggers out there, and best of luck on the quest for the 2009 Weblog Award. Hey, how much money does the winner get, anyway?
