The Hills Travel Redux: Twice the Time, Twice the Crying

September 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM | 0 Comments

Decided "Something Has To Change" about your travel plans? Make a good choice with our Hills Season 4 Map.

Previously: Frankie's birthday was ruined--don't you remember yesterday? And Spencer was a jerk.

In their infinite wisdom, MTV gave us only a night of suspense to find out what happened to Doug and Brody when they were "in jail" in Vegas at Frankie's birthday party. (Poor Frankie. He gets about 5 seconds of screen time this week.) Turns out, the boys were in jail filing an incident report after some drunk punched Doug. "Idiots," Lauren stage whispers. At least she won't have to go to the "bail bond store" and buy these boys their freedom.

The real drama, as has been teased after every show this season, went down at the Chatheau with Lauren and Audrina's long-awaited confrontation.

In Lauren's corner:

Lo, advising her while on Facebook. Does she know she's being filmed? (We're happy to see it's original-flavor Facebook, not the new layout.)

In Audrina's:

Why won't this miscreant go away? But neither of those people get their way because...

There is crying and making up after all that. "It's like everyone doesn't want us to be friends, you know?" Audrina sniffs, but she and her housemate pledge to mend their fences. LC will try to ignore the precarious position she's in between her two roommates, and Audrina will overlook the fact that LC doesn't like to "go to shows" with her.

Meanwhile, at Casa de Speidi, Spencer tells Holly that her sister really secretly wants her to move out of the living room, which he calls "my office":

[Heidi] loves having you around. I bet she'd love you even more down the hall. But she's not going to ever tell you that, not ever.

Of course once Heidi and Holly actually talk they can patch things up right away. "I don't know why Spencer would say these things," frets Holly. Oh, us neither, sister-lady.

There's also a brief subplot with Whitney styling an up-and-coming singer and having to boss around Lauren while she's so miserable about her personal drama at work. We actually wish this would have been explored more, because it can be hard to suck it up and deal in the office, right? But all we took from it is that Whitney has awesome hair:

This is what you get when there's twice "The Hills" in one week.

Next week: JustinBobby is (surprise!) still kind of a jerk, and Holly takes LC the white flag... for Heidi?
