The Hills Travel: What Up, Shady Guy?

September 30, 2008 at 8:45 AM | by | Comments (0)

"Don't Act Innocent..." You know which way is up. Get informed with our Hills Season 4 Map.

Previously: Lauren went away and everyone had lots of fun without her. Hope y'all enjoyed it, 'cause it's over.

This week's episode opens with LC with boxing gloves on. Cue, much? Even the personal trainer weighs in on Lauren's dilemma as she and Whitney work out: Should she let Stephanie go ahead and date her ex? Or should she make a deal out of it? Please, this is TV. We have to make a deal out of it.

Here's how it went down:

Lauren confronted Stephanie at school, and Stephanie blamed Duh Doug! "I erased him from my phone," she declared. "He came out of left field and totally took advantage of me to get back at you." But wait, what's this? Stephanie and Duh Doug going out to dinner again? And then having a "movie night"? When Lauren and Stephanie both head to Doug's house for a pool party with the regulars, there's bound to be trouble, and not just the kind of trouble where the guys jump in the pool and splash the girls.

Ever the instigator, Brody, who should get his own show after this week--oh wait... he had one--ribs Stephanie about her "shady" behavior and then got Doug to say, within earshot of La Pratt, that she meant nothing to him and that they weren't doing anything. At which Stephanie acted crushed, but Lauren was deeply skeptical--mainly because who cries over this guy?

Uh... what?

Meanwhile in Heidiwood, Heidi's mom came to visit and inadvertently discovered that her daughter was living with Spencer. She and Spencer go out to lunch to get to know each other better, and... wow. The man truly has no boundaries! She finds him "very controlling and manipulative" (anyone else remember "My answer is get out of my car"?), "condescending, rude and very hostile." He asserts he has done nothing wrong, but really the whole exchange can be summed up in these two lines:

Heidi's Mom: Why do you guys feel like you need to live together so early in your relationship?

Spencer: Because... why not?

As if any mom would take that answer. What a nightmare! Of course, Heidi sticks up for him, which just proves how far in that knife has gone.

Next week: Despite being promoted in on-screen text to "boyfriend," JustinBobby is forgotten when Audrina goes on a date with a hottie, and Lauren and LC find the real obstacle to their friendship: Hint: It's "very controlling and manipulative"!
