You know, the good news is that pretty much everyone else is a little poorer today, too! Since that Congressional bailout failed and the Dow dropped nearly 800 points, we're thinking about budget travel.

There never seems to be a shortage of "Cheapest Places on Earth" lists--even in flush times--so take your pick of these. Wherever you decide to flee your broker, the most expensive part of the trip promises to be the plane ticket there: Oil's still selling for nearly 100 bucks a barrel.
