Haggis and "Crash" actor Don Cheadle produced the series, which is Starz' first foray into original programming--but the second Best Picture winner to become a TV show. (The first was the Sparta, Mississippi-set "In The Heat Of The Night." Congrats, you just won next year's Oscar pool.)
Watch for Dennis Hopper as Ben Cendars, a musical producer with a drug problem and "The Cutting Edge"'s D.B. Sweeney as the contemporary villain, a real-estate developer. Aw, who are we kidding! Please kill this show soon. At least "Viva Laughlin" had hilariously bad singing.
