The first appointee to a special new federal position to investigate scientific crimes, Hood travels across the country to meet sinister adversaries and blind them with, er, science. In the pilot, "Resurrection," Hood and bodyguard Marley Shelton ("Death Proof") investigate a trail of cloned fetuses in Seattle that seem to lead to an independent and ominous genetic experiment.
We hear the Bruckheimer-produced "Eleventh Hour" is very much like "CSI," except with more science. It's a pity CBS couldn't snag the British Dr. Hood, Patrick Stewart, but as with fellow pilot "The Mentalist," if American audiences can handle staring into Sewell's creepy eyes for 40 minutes a week, the network will probably call it a success.
