The project is expected to run about A$100 million ($83 million) as it begins to transform Melbourne's landscape. Things are moving smoothly towards the November opening date, with the passenger pods arriving from Japan back in June. Developers anticipate that more than 1.5 million passengers will take the wheel for a ride annually.
Even at night the Ferris wheel will be a hit, as its LED lighting system will put on quite the show. There will even be a three-story facility building adjacent to the wheel, so you can throw your swanky corporate bash right by the action.
Prices for a spin around the wheel still haven't been set, but regardless of the cost, this is certainly going to be a must see attraction.
