Lauren tells her not to settle and actually bears out that advice this week by breaking it off with Duh Doug. "I just remember liking him a lot more," she tells Whitney, "and I thought I would just hop back into it." At least one person isn't surprised besides us, and that's the guy who tells her point-blank that her "type" is guys she already dated. "I didn't see that going very far," scoffs Brody when they have dinner at Sushi Roku (8445 W. 3rd St.).
Now that the salaries of those kids on "The Hills" have been leaked to the press, we can confidently say that Brody more than earned his $10,000 this week--and deserves a bonus for asking Lauren "Can we talk about us getting naked?" Ha! Alas, Doug seems to be holding back tears when LC dumps him, with the sad protest line, "After you say I have a crush on you in a club..." Oh, Duh Doug. You are duhsposable.
Also, Stephanie relishes living alone ("I have to talk to the hamster a lot") and tells Lauren she can't wait to have "kickbacks" at her place. That word, Steph, doesn't mean what you think it means. Still, she can't help bringing an olive branch over to Spencer in the form of... a book about the CIA? Well, it's a great way to say "I'll be watching you"!
Of course, Spencer's just cranky because Holly is already moved in, although she gets no screen time in this episode. Heidi, meanwhile, loves it because "It's like 'Three's A Company.'" Oh, Lordy.
