Where to Check In: Fairmont Copley Plaza
A local institution, the film's hotel scenes were shot here. Located on the south side of Copley Square, this one's steeped in history. A few tidbits? Mayor John F. Fitzgerald (Kennedy's grandfather) opened it with a major party in 1912 and Sumner Redstone had to hang by his arm out a third-story window in a fire in 1979. Today it's super swank after a recent $34 million renovation with suites that feature cathedral ceilings, fireplaces, marble bathrooms and views of the square.
Where to Chow: 75 Chestnut
Tucked into a quiet side street in Beacon Hill, 75 Chestnut is in the base of a cozy townhouse and has one of the best brunches in the city. Start with a very impressive Bloody Mary and move on to raspberry stuffed french toast or truffled lobster hash all set to the background of live jazz tunes.
Where to Chill: Crane Beach, Ipswich
Head north of the city to gorgeous Crane Beach, once part of the vast early-20th-century summer estate of industrialist Richard T. Crane, Jr. Its 1,200 acres of beach, dunes and forest are perfect for traipsing through with friends. You can feel free to bring your dog, or your horse for a ride on the beach, starting October 1. Admission's $7 a car.
