Possible First Lady Travel: Michelle Obama Getting Her Southern Cooking On

Michelle Obama has been noticeably missing from the headlines over the past few weeks while her hubby deals with the rise of that other lady.

But at least part of Michelle's absence can be attributed to a secret meeting with one of the country's prominent, er, tastemakers.

Michelle recently flew down to Norfolk, Virginia to film an episode of Paula Deen's Food Network Show "Paula's Party."

While we can safely assume Obama didn't press Deen on her questionable labor practices, she did apparently spill some secrets about fried shrimp, seafood gumbo and chili. Can't wait: Paula and Michelle's deep-fried, buttery good time airs on September 20.
