You won't see them on your TV: Both campaigns have suspended their ad campaigns today in memory of 9/11 and competitors Barack Obama and John McCain will both appear in New York tonight at Columbia University for the launch of ServiceNation, a nonprofit encouraging Americans of all ages to get involved in their communities.
Billed as a "Presidential Forum on Service," the event will also feature New York governor David Paterson and will be moderated by PBS' Judy Woodruff and TIME's Rick Stengel.
The veeps are not in New York City today; Joe Biden is attending a closed ceremony in Cleveland tonight with firefighters and emergency responders, while Sarah Palin returns to her home state of Alaska for a ceremony honoring her son Track Palin, who will be deployed to Iraq this month.
Here's where you can see the candidates on TV, besides CNN tonight...
In case you've been living under a moose-shaped rock, this clip of Obama on "Letterman" should give you some valuable insight into what it means, exactly, to put lipstick on a pig. The McCains will strike back with appearances on "The View" and "Rachael Ray" on Friday.
The Obama campaign moves to Concord, New Hampshire tomorrow for a rally at New Hampshire Technical Institute. Nevadans can look forward to a visit from Sarah Palin on Saturday, when the Republican VP nominee heads up a rally in Carson City.
