Mexican LCCs: Interjet Wants to Go International
While Mexican low cost carrier Avolar might be experiencing a few difficulties in staying financially afloat, it looks like fellow budget airline Interjet is having no such problems.
Interjet flies between base Toluca and over a dozen Mexican cities--but since Toluca's about an hour from Mexico City, Interjet is pretty pleased to have done a deal with Aero California for their rights to landing slots at Mexico City's huge airport.
Added to that, Interjet's also planning to fly into California and Texas once they get permissions worked out. We're hoping by then they get their website working in English too so we'll be able to book us some seats without relying on our very poor Spanish.
