To Do in LA: See Dead People with Freddy Krueger
August 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM | 0 Comments
Hollywood Forever, the cheesily-named cemetery housing some of the nation's most famous dead thespians and cinematic employees, is not some sort of sacred quiet place where people go to mourn the long lost.
Nope. Like most places in Hollywood, this is a place to party. At least it's a place to party in the summer when the cemetery hosts movie screenings. And who better to party with in a cemetery than Freddy Krueger himself?
That's what's going down on August 12 when Robert Englund is attending the premiere for his newest horror-comedy movie, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer.
Unlike most Hollywood parties, this one is open to all. The open lawn screening begins at 7:30 pm. We're saving our seat near our favorite Golden Girl, Estelle Getty, who was recently buried here.
