Travel Snapshot :: Westin Hands Out Blankets to United Passengers at JFK

August 29, 2008 at 3:00 PM | 0 Comments

It's hard for us to even type these words but we kinda wish we were flying on United Airlines today. That's because Westin Hotels is handing out pillows to doggies!

Just kidding. Sort of. Westin is handing out pillows and blankets to all United passengers passing through JFK today in an effort to publicize their recent partnership with the airline.

With 500 blankets and pillows being passed out today, this marks the first time a hotel has put their swag on a U.S. airline. And if you happen to be flying first or business, well lucky you:

With this partnership, United's p.s. passengers in first and business class flying between New York and California will receive plush Heavenly pillows and blankets, White Tea-scented towelettes and mints, signature SuperFoods-inspired beverages and other renewing amenities.

Westin also has opened their Renewal Lounges inside the Red Carpet Clubs at JFK, LAX and SFO where travelers can get many of those good-for-you goodies.

Hmmm...with several airlines charging for pillows and blankets, this bonus from Westin is a nice perk, if only for one day. Now, will this make you wanna fly United in the future? Let us know in comments.

Thanks Gabrielle!
