Calling All AFOLs: Lego Party This Weekend

August 29, 2008 at 12:00 PM | 1 Comment

Speaking of Legos...

If you're in the Washington, DC area this weekend, you're in luck, because there's a massive Lego fair organized just for AFOLs like you. (That's Adult Fans of Lego, to the uninformed.) Children are allowed, but only if they're in the company of adults.

Brickfair is actually not affiliated with the LEGO company, but is organized by Wamalug, the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Lego Users Group. (This town has an acronym for everything.)

Brickfair not only shows off some impressively large Lego creations, it also offers tons of highly competitive events, like speed build, Lego robot fights, dirty buildster (do the best you can with a bag of randomly chosen blocks) and Friday night madness, an after-hours event that we can only imagine gets pretty crunk.

Brickfair is located at the Sheraton Premiere in the Tyson's Corner Mall, and it runs through August 31.
