Adventures of Link: Watch for Spies in China
As the Beijing Olympics loom, Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) is warning visitors that the Chinese government may well spy on them. At a press conference yesterday, he declared that:
The [Chinese] government has set up a system to be able to spy and gather information about each and every guest at every hotel where Olympic visitors are located.
Thing is, weren't we already expecting something like this? If China already spies on its own citizens, why would we expect anything different when it comes to visitors?
Meanwhile, there's heaps of other Olympics news making headlines today. The games get underway on August 8.
