Rickshaw Travel: No, Seriously

If you're looking for a vacation that most definitely involves leaving the GFs at home, you'll want to check out The Adventurists, a group of British lads who organize some of the craziest jaunts we've heard of.

Their marquee event is the just-completed Rickshaw Run, a frenetic two-week rickshaw race through the Indian subcontinent. The Rickshaw Run has grown so popular that the group is organizing three of them in '09. The first two are already booked up, but you can still catch the September trip, which, for extra fun, happens to coincide with monsoon season.

The group has plenty of other upcoming events, like the Africa Rally, a journey from London to Cameroon via old VW bugs and other "crap" cars. The group doesn't provide much in terms of ensuring you'll make it out alive, but then again that's kind of the point.
