Radar Takes a Ride on the SATC Tour Bus

"Sex and the City"-themed bus tours were rolling around New York long before the movie came out. So Radar Magazine sent two intrepid reporters to ride along with On Location Tours and see the streets the way Carrie and her friends would. And as you can imagine, the tour took them vibrator shopping, bar hopping and stoop-spotting.

Unsurprisingly, Radar didn't spot "a single New York City resident" on the bus. There were however two men sprinkled among the nearly sixty women on the tour, including a guy named Santos who "loves it when Carrie squeals."

Dudes of New York, Santos may have beaten you to the punch, but this bus tour seems like the best place to meet horny tourist ladies in the city this summer. It's like a stocked pond. Plus, the gals on board will probably think you're gay. They'll never see you coming.

    I've done it.

    I did this bus tour in 2004, long before the movie talk but right after the series finale. And I don't remember a single man who was on the tour with us.

    Still, these women are not low-hanging fruit. If you want to meet the ladies, don't board boorishly and act like an ass. Do your homework: Be familiar with the show and its characters, get off and look around at the stops and refrain from drooling. (Except over those cupcakes. Love 'em.)

    I passed one of these groups (in January 2007!) on Perry Street waiting one-by-one to take their pics on Carrie's stoop. At that time, there was one dude at the end of the line, and it turned out that he was a straight friend traveling to NY with 3 girls...and he was clingy so he didn't want to go off on his own. What will the groups do now that the steps are roped off!?
