Naomi Campbell, on the other hand, is working overtime to honor Saint Laurent. At Monday's CFDA Awards in New York, wearing an all black piece from the new YSL line, Campbell gushed with admiration for her late hero:
He was the first designer to put women of color on the runway ... He was extremely important in my career, giving me one of my first jobs.
If you were thinking about treating yourself to a YSL shopping spree--all to pay tribute, of course--don't do it today between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm: All houses of YSL will be closed for mourning.
A better bet is to visit the new Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts where admission will be free this Friday.
