Father's Day Travel: Last-Minute Mancations

If you're anything like us, you usually forget Father's Day until the reminder call from Mom on Sunday morning. Since you surely didn't get around to planning that golf trip to St. Andrew's or the Alaska fishing expedition, here are some Father's Day trips you can actually pull off at the last minute.

For the Jazzhead: The JVC Jazz Festival kicks off in New York on Sunday. Please your dad by declaring a newfound appreciation for Herbie Hancock. (He doesn't have to know you're going for Mos Def.)

For the Drunk Dad: Vermont may not have the beer-making reputation of Wisconsin or Colorado, but the state actually has more breweries per capita than any other. Vermont Backroad Tours has two Father's Day tours of breweries throughout the state.

For the Dapper Drunk Dad: If he's more the vineyard type, head to Napa, where Rubicon Estate is offering a wine tour for dads, which should pair well with their new cigar lounge.

For the Classic Dad: The Bronx has been a popular mancation spot this year for fans eager to catch the last season at Yankee Stadium. If you've got a dad who would rather drop dead than root for the pinstripes, catch them on the road instead--this weekend the Yanks are in Houston to play the Astros.

Or Be the Best Son Ever: Of course, if you've got a grand or two to drop, forget baseball and hit up Craigslist for tickets to Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Sunday night in LA.
