Would You Ever Use an Airplane Seat Cover?

We've been known to bring along our own pillows and blankets when taking a flight, but for some reason we can't imagine ourselves using a NiceFlights airplane seat cover.
But maybe we should get over how uncool it would look to carry and unwrap one of these things. After all, the seat cover does sound promising when fighting nasty airplane germs. And according to NiceFlights, "airplane seats are generally cleaned after an average of 78,000 visitors!"
Of course, that's the number given out by NiceFlights which obviously wants to create demand for these things. But with airlines cutting back as much as they are, we bet seat-cleaning is definitely among the stuff getting scaled back.
The cover is $30, machine-washable and it comes in an array of colors. (Naturally, we like the pink.) Each cover is 97 percent cotton and 3 percent spandex in case you have a time tough fitting it over the standard airplane seats. It also comes inside a mini-pouch which you can use in-flight to store your glasses, iPod and other stuff.
Snazzier alternatives like the camouflage print shown above can be found at PlaneSheets. The price is the same and the prints are more exciting, but these are 100 percent polyester. Bonus: At PlaneSheets you can have your sheet monogrammed. Now we know what we are getting our WASPy, jetsetting relatives for Christmas this year!
