Airport Spas: What's up with XpresSpas?

On our last trip through JFK's Terminal 4, we had a chance to check out the XpresSpa. Yep, our airport spa obsession continues!
Unlike the Massage Bar at EWR, XpresSpa looks like a real-deal spa, and indeed they perform some real-deal treatments like quickie reflexology massages (head, foot and leg), full body massages, manis, pedis and facials.
They even do waxing. (Though we can't imagine what would possess us to get a wax in an airport. If you have done this, please let us know what you were thinking.)
In Terminal 4, which is home to international flights and Virgin America, XpresSpa is located before the security checkpoint. This location is spacious and looks more like a spa or nail salon you would hit up at home.
After the security checkpoint is a mini-XpresSpa which has those massage loungers and a ton of travel gear. We're guessing they don't perform waxing at that one. There are also two locations in Terminal 1 and one in Terminal 7.
The price of massages, of course, depends on how long you have. A neck and back massage for 10 minutes is $22. For 20 minutes it's $38 and for 30 minutes it's $48. Some other prices: A 60-minute seaweed facial for deep-cleansing is $110. A deluxe "pedi-pure," with foot massage, foot scrub and foot mask, is $70. Don't forget about the dudes: a 30-minute gentleman's facial is $60. And because we were curious, a Brazilian wax (ladies only!) is $75.
XpresSpas can be found at a handful of airports, including Amsterdam, Cancun, DFW, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco. Hours vary from spa to spa, but most are open 7 days a week for 16 hours a day.
