Then we hopped a cab at Paddington to our hotel near Hyde Park. That was another £15. On our way back to the airport to leave London, we cabbed it the whole way and it was £48. Since we split that with a friend we didn't mind too much.
But we will say the train ride to Paddington was easy from start to finish. The train serves all terminals at Heathrow although 1, 2 and 3 have more frequent service times than 4 and the newly-opened 5.
The total ride was about 15 minutes and has a T-Mobile HotSpot on board, not that we needed it. We were too busy watching the news on the TV. Take that AirTrain at EWR!
