Who knew a small island like Aruba could keep someone so busy? You've already been windsurfing, butterfly watching and sunset sailing on Palm Beach, plus you've conquered the Aruban outback on the island's best drive.

It's time to slow down and relax--after all, vacations were made for pampering. If it's Zen-like tranquility you're after, head to the Larimar Spa, easily Aruba's best sanctuary for the mind, body and spirit.

Opened in the fall of 2006, this 13,000-square-foot spa is the most comprehensive in Aruba with nine treatment rooms, a full-service salon, relaxation pavilion, plus his-and-hers saunas, steam rooms and cold plunge pools. The $5.2 million spa is on the grounds of the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino--a massive 353-room property on Palm Beach--but best of all, it incorporates local ingredients in many of its treatments.

We'd be remiss not recommend the 80-minute aloe and rum massage featuring Aruban aloe vera, palmera rum and black beach stones found on the island's eastern shore. (There's a reason why it's the spa's signature treatment--it's just that good.)

Other highlights include the Euro-Indo massage, which concludes with an invigorating coconut back scrub and the IndoCeane Voyage, a 100-minute treatment that exfoliates and moisturizes your entire body. Whatever you choose, you're bound to be pleased: When your treatment is done, you'll be given a cool elixir prepared by your therapist as you sit in the spa's Zen garden under a breezy bamboo hut. Now that's relaxation.
