Bloomingdale's
We probably don't need to tell you to visit this shopping mecca, but we'll give you a good tip. Just about everything is discounted if you show out-of-state ID, so be sure to bring your passport. Another tip: You can avoid the cab-hailing insanity on Lexington Avenue by using the entrance on Third. 1000 Third Ave.
Diesel
Cater-corner from Bloomie's, this two level shop has a full selection of denim and tons of stuff for guys and girls. We saw t-shirts for £20 and nice jackets for £250. They've got a bunch of sneakers (£40), bags and accessories, too. 770 Lexington Ave.
H&M
If you're more into quantity than quality, your sterling will go far just south of Bloomie's. We're talking shirts for £10 (if that!) and jackets for £25. The stock is always changing, but there's heaps of it to dig through. Bring a friend. 731 Lexington Ave.
Tekserve
Yes, you could go load up on iPods at any of the three Apple stores in town, but you'll also go completely nuts dealing with the crowds. You're better off stopping at this Chelsea store that's authorized to sell everything from iPod Shuffles (£25) to MacBook Airs (£903). 119 W. 23rd St.
G-Star
For some reason all the Brits we know go bananas for G-Star stuff. You'll find the two-level boutique in Soho, where collared shirts go for £40 and jeans start at around £80. 270 Lafayette St.
Burton
Yeah, it's known for its snowboards and gear, but the selection of summerwear, sweaters and jackets at this place is unbelievable. You might also take a look at the suitcases (from £75) and packs (from £20) to help haul all your stuff home. But think twice before hustling your 420 kit (£10) through customs. 106 Spring St.
Ben Sherman
We couldn't resist. If you feel "London Calling," duck into this shop. Most of it's what you'll find at home, but everything's cheap when you're spending greenbacks. You'll also sometimes find special collections, so it's worth a stop. 96 Spring St.
