Luckily the festival's events and screenings are not on the main island of Venice, they are in Lido, a short Vaporetto (water bus) ride from the airport and train station.
Ticket office locations are yet to be announced for '08 but prices range from $10 to $50 for individual screening tickets and $200 to $2,000 for festival passes. Be glam and stay at Cipriani's where one night will cost you anywhere from $810 to $3,500 but you'll be treated like Venetian royalty. Or live like the rest of us and stay at one of the many gorgeous boutique hotels in Venice like Hotel Al Codega for about $300 per night.
If your invite to Alberta Ferretti yacht party got lost in the Italian Post, you can still rub elbows with celebs by staking out a spot near the red carpet arrival area. You'll witness your favorite stars and starlets sailing up Venice's Grand Canal by water taxi (way cooler than a limo).
