We love news out of England, 'cause it invariably involves "rows" instead of "fights." The latest is between British Airways and most of the other carriers at London Heathrow. See, once BA's cool new Terminal 5 opens, all the others are gonna look scuzzy by comparison.
Bmi is advocating for upgrades to other terminals so as to not be put at a competitive disadvantage. Virgin Atlantic, says a spokesman, is ready to compete with T5:
We spent a long time working out how to counter [the threat from BA] by building a new check-in area as well as revamping our club lounge, which will compete with T5.
It's a good thing Virgin took matters into its own hands, too. Airport officials say upgrades to terminals that aren't numbered 5 may not be finished until 2012.
