We Wish You A Merry Grinchmas

The holiday celebration gets underway tomorrow at the Universal Orlando Resort. Mannheim Steamroller comes to Universal Studios with performances at 6 pm and 8 pm, and surprisingly, the concerts are included with your daily admission. Besides the Christmas decorations and music that you’ll find throughout the parks, there are some special events to catch, too:

At Islands of Adventure, The Grinch and his buddies from Whoville will come together to let you know what Christmas is all about. (Buying souvenirs?) They’ll perform a stage show daily with new songs by Mannheim Steamroller, and you’ll even have a chance to meet the green guy after.

If the Grinchmas celebration doesn't suit, just swing over to the Universal Studios park next door. Here, you’ll be able to experience the Macy’s Holiday Parade without fighting the crowds in New York. Floats, bands and big balloons will make their way down the park’s main drag as visitors line the sidewalks. Even the park’s stage shows, like the one featuring the Blues Brothers, will get a holiday makeover.

If you’re lucky enough to stay on-site at one of the resort's three hotels, they’ll also be getting in the seasonal spirit. Carolers will roam the hotel grounds and each hotel will have its own Christmas tree. Best of all, there will be special seasonal movie presentations--for when you can no longer stand the crowds in the park.
