Half-pound is the new quarter-pound at West Hollywood newcomer 8 Oz. Burger Bar, a casual eatery from Govind Armstrong, the acclaimed chef at nearby high-end restaurant Table 8.

8 oz. has quickly become a local favorite for its trendy atmosphere and hefty, grass-fed patties, topped with gourmet delicacies like cave aged Gruyere, red onion marmalade and fried caper tartar sauce. For non-carnivores, 8 oz. has drawn an equally devoted following for its equally large veggie burger, topped with sunflower sprouts, wild arugula and avocado.

But most regulars get more excited about the gourmet finger food, with offerings like mini Kobe corndogs, fried Wisconsin cheese curds and sausage-stuffed fried olives, all of which are tasty late-night accompaniments to an array of local microbrews.
