Stuff Your Stocking With Shamu

Where: 500 SeaWorld Dr. [map], San Diego, CA, United States, 92109

It’s doubtful that marine mammals come to mind when you think of Christmas. But SeaWorld is trying to change that, and the park hopes to get some of your holiday cash with some special events this month in San Diego.

Animal appearances will happen throughout the entrance plaza and other areas of the park because nothing says "Happy Holidays" like a sea lion with a Santa hat! Of course there will be holiday music blasting over the park’s speakers to get you in the mood, as well as a 30-foot Christmas tree.

The highlight of the park’s Holiday Celebration 2008 is Shamu’s Holiday Night Show. Here the famous whale celebrates the season backed up by live musicians. There’s even special Shamu choreography just for Christmas--whatever that might be.

If you don’t like whales then those two wacky sea lions, Clyde and Seamore, are ready to show off their Night Before Christmas sketch. (It's sure to be filled with seasonal puns.)

Things actually kicked off over Thanksgiving and will run each weekend through December 20; holiday festivities then go daily through the end of the month. Best part? All the special entertainment is included in your daily admission.
