V Australia Fares Make Us V Happy

After a not-their-fault delay when striking Boeing workers meant V Australia's new planes wouldn't arrive on time, the budget long-haul carrier is ready to launch in February. And the great news is that it's selling enticingly cheap tickets to Australia.

Return flights are sub-$1,000--in fact right now you can pay $780 for Los Angeles to Sydney and back, any time from their first flight on February 27 through to September. That's a price that nobody could ever complain about.

Right now these flights are nearly $600 less than the cheapest routes on Australia's national carrier Qantas so we guess they're none too happy about the move. But us--we're rubbing our hands with glee. Thanks V!
