Where Is
The Mall Where The "Twilight" Riot Was?

The fervor over "Twilight," the forthcoming teen-vampire movie based on the best-selling books by Stephenie Meyer, is something that most adults have probably written off already. Well, write this off! A crowd of over 3,000 people outside San Francisco's Stonestown Galleria waiting to meet one of "Twilight"'s stars became an angry mob Monday.
Mall patrons who bought a "Twilight" T-shirt at Hot Topic would get the chance to meet Robert Pattinson, a veteran of the "Harry Potter" series who plays hot vampire Edward in the movie. But the den of faux-punks grossly underestimated the demand for the wristbands that would enable a spot in line to meet Pattinson. Fans lined up all night for the store's opening at 6 am, but tensions grew as one well-meaning woman took it upon herself to make a list of people in line (which mall security later discarded). In the ensuing crush to form a line, one fan broke her nose and there were several other bruised patrons.
The Galleria was forced to cancel Pattinson's appearance, but he still seems pretty stunned about the publicity. (So are your parents!) "It doesn't seem very real at all," Pattinson told E! Online. "I just go to these different cities and people start screaming."
