Philly Announces World Series Victory Parade

October 30, 2008 at 3:54 PM | by pbb | 3 Comments

The hard-up-for-championships city of Philadelphia will be celebrating the Phillies World Series win last night with a parade down Market Street, around City Hall and south to Citizens Bank Park, where the team will host a victory party. (Get free tickets to that here.)

The parade leaves 20th and Market at about noon and will take about three hours to crawl its way to the ballpark. While there's bound to be plenty of excitement, do try to behave yourselves. Bozos be warned: You might end up with a bottle to the head if you climb a street light.

    Phillies Are Champs

I'm a Phillies Phan too. I wish I could go to the parade, but I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I did get a chance to go to LA for a couple of games during the NLCS. This was such a great year. I hope all the Phans have fun at the parade!

    Wednesday...

night was a night to remember. It was one of the first times I've seen African-American, Latinos, Asians, Caucasians, etc. come together and not care about their differences. Everyone came together and was as FRIENDLY as ever. Philly...Why can't us? We done did it :) haha
