Named one of Travelhacker's top 50 vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the world, El Paraiso Bio Leben isn't as prevalent as local veggie chain Govinda, but it more than makes up for that in variety.
The tiny joint features excellent all-veggie empanadas and fruit salads served in ornate glasses, with or without a yogurt topping; don't forget to order a solterito de habas, a traditional Peruvian salad made of fava beans and beets. Plus, backpackers alert: A 3-plate meal is just 6.5 soles (about $2).
