Window Shopping: Old Macs, Chocolate Abs, Pricey Dog Gear

In our humble opinion, the greatest thing about Paris is not the crepes or the croissants, although we ate more than the recommended amount of both during our most recent stay there. No, the greatest thing about Paris is the window-shopping.

It seems whatever arrondissement you're in, there is always something worth staring at in the windows. And, of course, it doesn't cost you anything. For instance, have you ever fancied an outfit made of chocolate or perhaps a slab of chocolate shaped like a six-pack? Chocolatier John Paul Hevin has you covered.

Sauntering down Rue Ste. Honore will always yield exciting sights, as this is where the premiere French fashion houses are located. Goyard has opened a store, across from its original shop, that caters only to dogs. Dog collars, leashes, carrying cases, jewelry and cashmere blankets are just some of the out-of-our-price-range goods for sale.

And don't forget about the outdoor markets. We hit up Rue Cler near the Eiffel Tower and spied stuffed escargot. Yum? Over near Notre Dame, a Sundays-only bird market also sells interesting gear. Don't miss the man with a rat in a hat.

On our last night in Paris, we spied what appears to be a Mac Museum, showing old Macs in the window. We promptly got a hankering for floppy discs and Prodigy.
