JohnnyJet got back from a quick trip from Newark to Toronto last month and also shares his praise of the airline:
The small airport this airline flies into is actually just on the outskirts of the city on an island, making it a joy to travel to and from--especially considering the immigration process.
The modern plane had leather seats, lots of legroom and a 2x2 configuration so there's no dreaded middle seat. There's only one class of service and economy holds 70 passengers.
The flight attendants wear retro uniforms, complete with a hat and scarf and offer a snack and beverage service on all flights, including complimentary soft drinks, wine and beer.
To be fair, one user on TripAdvisor was less than thrilled with Porter's check-in kiosks:
I was all excited about my Porter experience, but here I sit in their luscious lobby because I missed my flight because [I] did not check in in time. Why?
I spent 15 minutes trying to check in at the machines. They wouldn't work so I assumed that I had done something wrong, which is why I kept trying. After becoming frustrated with that, I had to go in the check-in line....
By the time I got to the front it was 11:00, and my flight was 11:15. I was told it was too late to board.
